About

I started scribbling in hand me down notebooks at age 8 and have since discovered that nothing makes me feel happier or more alive than making words. This blog is dedicated to some of my more personal, random ramblings.

I’m a graduate of Central Michigan University and hold a B.S. degree in Journalism with News Editorial emphasis and French minor. I’ve studied the French language for years, can read it pretty well, but I’m still lousy at the whole speaking part.

I chased a dream and moved to Los Angeles three years ago. I spend my days writing for an award competition management service at Hollywood & Vine in the historic Taft Building.

In addition to my service for Brave Dog, some of my work can also be found at Yahoo!-affiliated tech website called Appolicious.com (I’m an Android expert!), Splash! Magazine, Los Feliz Ledger, Mid-City Press, Six Degrees Magazine, Between The Lines and Grand Rapids Press.

I currently live in Los Feliz in Los Angeles with my fiance Phil Hornshaw and our kitty monsters Kiwi and Xander. Phil and I are tying the knot this fall.
